In this episode, Dom and Danielle explore Kenotic Christology/Theology.
The belief that Christ “emptied” himself of His divinity, superimposing his human nature, is argued in one aspect to be a true doctrine while on the other hand, the doctrine that Christ is 100% Divine and 100% human is challenged.
Although based on one word in Philippians 2:7 taken out of context from the whole pericope, Kenoticism has become prevalent in many churches in the west. In this conversation, Dom walks through Philippians 2:5-11 as a whole and explores other references of that one word taken far too literally. The conversation continues with how it is affecting biblical belief and what needs to be done.
