The battle is real.

In the final week of our "You Do You" series, Brian Johnson teaches on what it means to be sent people of God. This week, Teaching Pastor Logan Draper introduces the habit of eating meals with others. As the third of our five missional habits, eating with others enables us to create deeper relationships with believers and unbelievers in a way that few other actions can. 

We've been in a series called You Do You that reveals the connection between our identity and our habits in life. In the first few weeks, we talked about our identity as Family, Missionaries, and Servants. Then, last week Ronnie shared the habit of blessing others as the first of five habits that will not only change your life but also the lives of those around you. This week, Ronnie is challenging us to slow down in order to create the habit of Listening.

While on the surface these words may seem to respect the individual, there is something more powerful within this simple succinct sentence.  Many of us live life and “do” our own thing, and we forget or maybe never have known “who” we were made to be.  
Who we are (identity) & what we do (habits) are intricately intertwined.
It's time to grow up. Let’s look in the mirror and ask some hard questions. 
“Who am I?”
“What’s my problem?”
"Who am I really made to be?"
“Is what I’m 'doing' affecting 'who' I’m becoming?”

Continuing our "You Do You" series, we will look at how JESUS has called us to be servants and that the motivation of our service is found in this statement; Passion for the Kingdom is fueled by Passion for the King.
