We are continuing our series focusing on The Gospels! This week we are looking at our identity in Christ, what that means and how our identity can point others to Jesus.

We need to be clear on who we are and who we are not, so we can effectively point others to Jesus.

Who does God say we are?

• We are forgiven (John 3:16)
• We are loved (Psalm 36:5)
• We are called 

If God is who he says he is, then we are also who God says we are.

The Gospels: Week 4

We are continuing our new series focusing on The Gospels! This week students will learn that when we share, we communicate part of who we are. If Jesus is a part of us then how do we share Him in all areas of our lives.

• Jesus will disrupt you life
  • “The other side"
  • “Clean and unclean"
• Jesus asks to share your new life
  • “Friends and family"
  • Not “who Jesus is” but “how much he has done"

We are continuing our new series focusing on The Gospels! This week we are looking at Matt 4:18-22, digging deeper into  what it means to “Follow”.

We started a new series in the new year called The Gospels, this week we are looking at the Good News of The Gospel.

We finished our Beautiful Resistance series and this week we are doing a one-off where a few of our Students share what God has been doing in their lives & speaking to them.

You should only date if:

1. You are a Christian - Your relationship with Jesus needs to be good.
2. Dealt with hurts - Master forgiveness (Billy Graham - “What makes a great marriage? Two great forgivers.”)
3. Deal with toxic habits - Eating disorders, Lying, Addictions
4. Check your patterns - Who are you attracted to? 
5. Check Your priorities - 
   1. If your priorities are any of the following, you are not ready for dating… 
      1. Hot, Funny, has a lot of money, athletic,...
   2.  If your priorities are the following, you MIGHT be ready for dating… 
      1. Lover of Jesus, Connected to their local church, Humble, Strong character, have a high value for marriage
6. Check your people - Do you have people around you who can hold you accountable?

We are continuing our Culture Series for the Fall Semester called Beautiful Resistance. This week we will be looking at Gender/Sexual Identity!

Main Points: 

Intro - Fighting for 3% of the student population.

1. Cultural Design - Sexuality and Gender are completely fluid (Grey) no boundaries

• 70% of LGBTQ+ youth stated that their mental health was "poor" most of the time or always
• Almost half of LGBTQ+ student's reguarly think about or attempt suicide
• 94% of LGBTQ+ youth reported that recent politics negatively impacted their mental health.
• 81.7% of Transgender adults consider suicide 
• 40.4 percent reported attempting suicide

“How’s this working for us?”  Nothing in our pioneering history has produced stats like this. (i.e. fight for women’s rights.  Fight for racial equality. Fight against slavery etc…)

2.  God’s Design - Genesis 2:18-24; John 15:13

• Boundaries are beneficial to us. The Father has set boundaries around our sexuality and Gender for our good. Boundaries are for Hetro-sexual attraction as well.  Everyone is tempted!!
• Longing not Loneliness - WE are called to Jesus!  We are called to same sex relationships (Deep friendships)

3. We will always direct you towards God’s design.  

• Not denying the feelings you have but calling you to sacrifice for the cause of Jesus.  This call to sacrifice is the same for everyone as we will see even more next week.
