A short 4-5 minute clip made up of photos and small video segments from a hike up Mt Adams and Mt Madison in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. July 28, 2024
I hiked Monadnock in the rain for the second day in a row. It was much rainier this afternoon which led to some cool observations - steam coming off the rock from the fresh rain, and during no rain on the summit we could easily see bands of rain surrounding the mountain. A beautiful view today.
This was probably my last fresh snow hike of the 2023/2024 winter season since spring is now here. This hike was on April 6th.
A short video where we look at the crescent shadows cast by our colander. Bonus, a binocular shadow of the crescent at the same time.
A few clips stitched together of my very first snowshoe outing. We hiked Starr King Trail in the White Mountains of New Hampshire.
The last section of snowshoeing may not look steep but I was postholing my trekking pole to the point I was bending over as we went up a steeper section
The mountain you see at the end is Mt Washington
A short set of clips of snow and hail from a hike up Mount Monadnock on March 17, 2024.
The hail was small and except for at one point I didn’t record, didn’t hurt as it fell on me.
A short clip demonstrating how loud and fast the wind was at today’s summit.
A brief clip from today where I’m walking on a hiking trail with packed down snow, completely with crunchy snow sounds.
A short video from my hike today on Dec 17, 2023. I hiked up most of the way to the summit of Mt Monadnock on White Dot in a light drizzle and heavy fog, but I was turned back here by a ranger due to unsafe conditions at the summit.
This is just past the upper intersection of white dot and white cross.
