Emotionally gut wrenching, hopeful, challenging love story

Surprised. Highly recommend that you read Stubborn Love before reading Only in Dreams. This can be read as a stand-alone but you will appreciate the complexities of these relationships by reading Stubborn Love first. This cast of characters come together in Stubborn Love and we meet Paige and Christian, an intense couple that has been together since they were teenagers but Christian is on a downward spiral. This book shocked me when Paige makes an extremely difficult decision to walk away from her love for Christian to save not only him but also herself. As Paige dives into her modeling career, she meets Henry and is shocked that she would find love twice in her life. Henry is the amazing man that supports her dreams and gives her all the love she needs. He encourages her to visit her friend Emmie in Texas to work on her fashion collection but neither one knew she would come face to face with Christian. This story was emotionally gut wrenching as Paige has to face her feelings for two men. There are no easy answers and I felt all the ups and downs with Paige. Truly loved immersing myself into this romantic journey.

I think it may have been beneficial to read the first book in this series to get a little bit more of a back story on Paige and Christian. Besides that, I don't think you really needed to read the first book to understand this one. The story starts off a little rough with a relationship between Paige and Christian. Christian has a drinking problem and Paige is done dealing with it. She storms out and Christian doesn't bother to go after her. She meets Henry and falls in love. Henry is everything she has ever wanted and needed. Christian will forever be in the back of her mind, but she has a wonderful time with Henry. Henry tells her to go stay at her friends house to help reduce her stress. Little does she know, Christian is going to be in her life as much as he possibly can. Paige has a big decision to make about Henry and Christian when some devastating news is thrown her way.
