What A Wonderful Conclusion!

We met them in Broken Dreams ~ Now, Alexa Culver and Gage Hunter's exciting story continues on in Dream Of Me, bringing this amazing couple back into our lives.

PTSD is a horrific condition suffered by countless numbers of women and men serving in the military. With great sensitivity and respect, Ms. McKenna shows that it can strike the physically strong, even as it tears through the mind.

Now retired from the Air Force, Alexa, Director of Artemis's Safe House Foundation, as part of the Delos Charities in Virginia, is pushing herself beyond belief to overcome the attack and torture she experienced when she was kidnapped by the Taliban in Afghanistan. Her nightmares are taking a toll on her ability to recover, and three months later, are causing even more stress and feelings of guilt for what she's putting her loved ones through. Alexa and Gage, with A-type natures are a force unto themselves. There's nothing they won't do for each other.

I LOVE the depth and passion of their personalities and if only more people could experience this kind of endearing love, the world would surely be a better place. This fine author takes us on a whirlwind ride back into danger when Alexa insists on travelling to Paris for a Sex Trafficking Conference. Please don't miss Dream Of Me and its satisfying conclusion. Kudos!

Outstanding characters with strong family

I absolutely love the Delos family, their entire family has made this series. The strong family oriented men and women with their partners are a role model to each other and that carries them through their many adventures of danger and suspense

Dream of Me: Delos, Series 4B1

This series keeps getting better and better so yes I do recommend that you read it. And when we get to catch up with the characters and see what they are doing now.

Excellent

Great book to finish off Gabe and Alexa's story. Interesting on Cortisol. Why more people are not trying it is curious to me.

Dream

Another great love story from author Lindsay McKenna. The love and patience Gage has is amazing. Definitely a great story.

Favorite book in the series so far

I've enjoyed all the book in the series but this one is my favorite (so far). There was lots happening and several twists. Quite a few things got resolved which I liked but there's still a fair but up in the air. It ends with a bit of a cliffy so I'm looking forward the the next book.

I really enjoyed the complexity of the plot and the slow reveal of the characters during the series.

The narration was excellent once again, great character voices and a lovely smooth delivery.

I received a free copy of this book from the author and/or narrator and/or publisher in exchange for an honest review.

Intercepted by Love - Part 5

Andie and Cade can't seem to catch a break! Every time things start to work out for them another unexpected twist comes their way.

This book is full of steam, suspense, heartbreak, and love. I can't wait to see how everything turns out in the final installment!

And the maze continues.

And the maze continues. Cade and Andie are caught in the middle of a dangerous situation. He's a suspect, she's determined to be his savior and the hits just keep coming. The race to the finish line is rapidly approaching, but all has yet to be revealed. Intercepted by Love 5 is an ever changing tunnel of twists that keeps the drama going and the intrigue flowing. What happens next is anybody's guess.

Very exciting!

This well written and performed book was the most action filled and exciting of the series so far with just one more to go! These characters are very well developed and really become life like with this amazing narrator breathing a sense of personality into each. We are at a part of the series when your not going to want to miss the many fine threads of the story pulling together so you want to set aside some alone time to enjoy every minute of this installment.

My favorite in series!

Intercepted by Love: Part Five: The Quarterback's Heart, Book 5 by Rachelle Ayala, narrated by Chris Abell is my #1 favorite book in the entire series! There is something for everyone here...action, suspense, adventure, romance, family, betrayal, lust, hope... I have followed Andie and Cade's story since the very beginning and have listened to Books 1-5 in the Intercepted by Love series.

Strong and Sparkling

A short but fully complete story..

My second read by this author and again a very strong and dynamic read, awesome way of writing...

This story from a dancer his pov we get a look inside the dance world and dancers mind.

When Tate sees famous singer/dancer Mike Chang rehearsal for the same show as Tate, he knows this beautiful man is far out of his league, but you can dream can't you?

Tate is working his ass off at the rehearsals and then he gets the opportunity to be dance captain...he wants to tell someone the big news but he is quite alone in New York well aware of the different time zone he is.

As the dance captain he gets a chance to be near Mike. Tate is so self conscious it's endearing.

He feels clumsy and when talking to Mike he's stumbling over his own tongue.

Mike ask Tate to help him with dance practice. And I can tell you that worked out just fine...

There is one filthy dancer named Donnie....ghoosshhh I could kill him. He just hit Tate at his most vulnerable place...."out of your league"

And Mike just can't get it why Tate is avoiding him....

Tate was a lovely honest personality I just loved him with al his funny thoughts and qualities

and Mike.....so into Tate and such a sweet guy.

This story was from the first letter till the last captivating as hell, well developed and entertaining as Broadway himself.

Very lively and sparklingly written. It gave me all the right feelings a good story should give.

Highly recommend A really mustread

Super sweet feel good story

Heat Level: 1 flames out of 5

Rating: 4 stars out of 5

If you are in need of a quick pick-me-up feel good story, this is the one. Bright lights, the thrill of dancing before an appreciative audience. Working with one of the hottest broadway stars. This is Tateâs dream come true. This is a very short story that was finished before I was ready to let go of these complex characters. The plot of this story is pretty basic. Boy, Tate OâConnor comes to New York City to become a broadway dancer. When he lands a spot as one of the dancers in a new musical, Tate thinks his life couldnât get any better. When he finds out that the actor that he has been crushing on has the lead in the play, he is beyond happy. Mike Chang has a reputation for having his share of âshowmances.â When he feel a connection with Tate, he doesnât understand why Tate is keeping away. There is strong chemistry between Mike and Tate, but insecurities make it difficult for Tate to take a leap of faith. This story moves very quickly. There is drama caused by a jealous actor, as well as some very supportive friends, new and old. There is a fun, so in your face, happy ever after. Surprisingly, there is a good amount of character development is such a short story.

Publisher: Macmillan Audio

Ratings: 4.5 of 5 out of 3 votes

Genres: Romance, Contemporary

Publisher's Summary:

The third installment in the Larson Brothers series from New York Times best-selling author Cherrie Lynn is the sexiest installment yet!

Youngest Larson brother Damien has the luck of the devil. Fast talking and faster thinking, he owns a successful nightclub in Houston and runs an illegal poker room upstairs. After a troubled childhood, now nothing is out of Damien's reach - except his accountant, Emma Haskell.

Emma has always been drawn to Damien's dark intensity and the gleam in his eyes that promises more than she can possibly handle. But when her brother's gambling threatens to destroy her family, Damien makes her an offer she'd be crazy to accept - but can't refuse: her brother's debts will be forgiven, and Emma belongs to him for 30 days.

In Damien's world, he shows his angelic bookkeeper what it's like to live with the devil. But Emma brings out a side in Damien he thought didn't exist. Will the flames of lust scorch them both, or will this beauty tame the beast and give him something to fight for?

Raw Heat scorches with emotional intensity and smoldering passion that will leave listeners spellbound!

Members Reviews:

the most gritty, most explosive, most emotionally intense book in this series

I love this series SO HARD. Cherrie Lynn delivers three very different stories in this series about three brothers who may have come from the same broken place, but who each chose varying paths that eventually lead them to unexpected romance. Mike, an MMA fighter, Zane, a famous rock star, and now Damien, a night club owner and poker shark, have all completely owned me with their respective storylines, storylines that are SO COMPLETELY DIFFERENT. Each book, each character, each storyline is nothing like the last and this book in particular, Raw Heat might just be the most unexpected of them all.

The circumstances that bring Damien and Emma together are crazy and intense. This book is one big game where the stakes get higher and higher with each turn of the page, where the rules keep changing and the lines get blurred. It's an emotional roller coaster, an angsty dynamic of two people trying not to lose themselves, trying not to give too much away as they get tangled up in this temporary arrangement of sin and skin and sex.

This is absolutely the hottest book in this series. It's steamy and sensual and explosively passionate from beginning to end. Damien is a guy that will never allow himself to emotionally connect. He's detached and cold and he's honest about it. Emma is an open book. She's vulnerable but strong, sensitive but devoted. Together, they are explosive. In the bedroom, they take fiery passion to another level. It's an addiction, my need to see him brought to his knees, and the course of events as they evolve through this book make for an exquisitely painstaking experience, an unbelievably erotic journey where emotions get tangled and lines are crossed.

I enjoyed this book so much... to be fair, Zane's book is still my favorite... but I loved Raw Heat in a very different way. Each book in this series is beautifully perfect for that particular Larson brother and this book is no exception, staying true to Damien in a way that's both brutally beautiful and emotionally honest. Damien is a player, a king at the top of the game, and this story is everything you'd ever want in a story about a guy like him.

Publisher's Summary:

After You is the final interconnected standalone novel in the Second Chances Series.

I had the happily ever after...until it was gone.

Three became two. And I was alone.

Our time - my time - was over. Alone was the right way to be. The only way. Life was me, my son, and my memories. Until the day I met someone who turned my lonely existence upside down.

This man made me smile, made me laugh, made me ache for his touch.

But I couldn't.

He shouldn't awaken feelings I resolved to bury with my husband. But he did.

I couldn't let his presence make my heart race. I couldn't let him into our little world, where he fit so perfectly. I couldn't want Nick.

But I did.

***

I rescued people. My family relied on me to lend a hand. Everyone thought of me as the fixer, but no one had the first clue how to fix me. Until Ellie.

The freckled beauty's sorrow was like a well-worn shirt-easy and familiar, difficult to part with-and she wore it comfortably. And though I was hers from the moment our eyes first met, she'd never be mine. I loved her in the here and now, but how did I compete with a ghost?

***

How can there ever be anyone After You?

Please note: After You is not intended for listeners under the age of 18.

Heartfelt & Emotional Second Chance Romance!

Would you consider the audio edition of After You to be better than the print version?

This is a tough question! I thoroughly enjoyed the print version, but listening to the story really heightened the emotions and brought the characters to another level. Tracy Marks did an amazing job narrating this book!

What was one of the most memorable moments of After You?

Hands down, the letters from Jack. They were the absolute perfect addition to the story at just the right times. Heartbreakingly beautiful is the best way I can describe those moments. Have those tissues handy people!!

Which character as performed by Tracy Marks was your favorite?

I loved Ellie (although Tracy Marks performed Nick extremely well too!) She is such an incredibly strong character in the face of such heartbreak. Her situation is painfully relatable and you won't be able to stop yourself from rooting for her to find her HEA.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Yes! This book made me cry big, ugly tears at times, but just as quickly it had me giggling and feeling hopeful. It can be emotional, but it's well worth the journey.

Any additional comments?

This is an incredible second chance romance and will pull on all your heartstrings! Loved this story and audiobook!

Absolutely Amazing Book

My heart. This book is amazing - beautifully written, it just owned my heart from the very beginning. Ellie had a magical story with her first love, and it's so clear to see why she can't move on. Years later, fate has gifted her a second chance at love with Nick. These two are the sweetest, and Nick is such a great guy I was happy for Ellie. Jack, Ellie's son, is pretty darn cute, and this little family is adorable. The narration complimented the book very well. This plot pulls at all my emotional strings, but in the best way possible. I'm pretty sure I had an aww face for most of it. This is a wonderful book, and I highly recommended it. Ellie May be stubborn, but don't give up on her. Totally worth it.

Sweet Story, But Just the Prequel

4.5 Overall

>5 Greg's narration

4-5 actual story / 1-2 trauma & frustration of discovering

you used up kleenex on a prequel w/ no HEA yet... So 3 stars for story

The story its self is sweet & well done, but if I had it to do over I'd want to know ahead it was only a prequel, Not a short first story. You do get a brief preview of what's to come, but I think readers will be happy when the next book is available so you can read both together.
