Only The Word

5/2/21 - God's salvation is by faith, through grace. By this God receives all the glory, and my salvation is sure in His work and promise.

We pray that the Lord richly blesses you through His word. If you have any questions, comments, or would like to suggest a topic for Bible study email us at [email protected]. Thanks to everyone for listening.

4/28/21 - After Aaron had made atonement for his sins, the two goats were to be brought before God. One was slain for the appeasement of God's wrath, and the other released into the wilderness bearing the sins of the people. We see Christ our Savior, both bearing our transgressions to the cross, and giving His life that our sins could be eternally removed from us.

God provided many prophecies, types and shadows in the Old Testament of the future work His son Christ Jesus. Some of which are hidden in the feasts and ceremonies given unto Israel. We pray the Lord Jesus be clearly seen as we study through seven of the Old Testament feasts. How marvelous it is to see our Savior pictured so clearly hundreds of years before His advent!

4/25/21 - Having proved the forgiveness of sins and imputation of righteousness was an Old Testament doctrine held by the saints and not a new idea, the writer continues by proving this righteousness was not obtained by any work of man, including circumcision.

4/21/21 - The day of atonement was the only day of the year the High Priest was allowed access to the Holiest place where God's presence dwelled. It was a day of great fear and carefulness for the man tasked with going before God. Thankfully this day was fulfilled by our Lord Jesus Christ, and through His perfect sacrifice we have access with boldness into the presence of God.

4/18/21 - The doctrine of Sin being forgiven by God's grace is not only a New Testament Doctrine. But Moses and David (and others) wrote of God's great mercy in forgiving sin and transgressions by Grace alone. If God marks iniquity, who can stand?

4/14/21 - The Blowing of Trumpets is the first Holy day in the second group of feasts which took place the first day of the seventh month. Often the blowing of trumpets is associated with the last trumpet at the second advent of Christ, but there is a better interpretation which fits our lives today. The gospel sounds out in these last days, calling attention to our sin and pointing us toward God's ultimate means of atonement, Christ Jesus.
