In this deeply honest psalm, Asaph wrestles with distress, doubt, and the seeming absence of God. Yet as he turns his mind from his present troubles to the faithfulness and mighty works of the Lord, his troubled soul finds hope. This passage reminds us that when our hearts are overwhelmed, we find strength by remembering who God is and what He has done.
