You can ask for the right thing, for the right reasons, and still receive a "no" from God. We may ask Him to remove our pain, take away our thorn, or save someone we love. Prayer is for the weak. Weakness is not failure. It is recognizing that we do not have the strength for whatever obedience requires next. Jesus Himself experienced weakness and prayed.
