During this session we hope to shed some light on this for Web3 startups based in Hong Kong, covering topics such as how to classify cryptocurrency using Hong Kong's accounting standards, the tax implications of this from a company and employee compensation perspective, any differences that might arise between BTC/ETH, altcoins, or NFTs, and how to record its valuation when the currency can be quite volatile.

For our next live AMA session, we will be discussing NFTs and what it means for you as an owner. 

NFTs are exchanging hands for pretty large denominations. With this in mind, we'll be covering what rights you might have as an owner of an NFT, what the implications are for royalties, the complexities around protecting your rights in the Hong Kong jurisdiction, and any ways that you can protect your ownership in cases of hacking or theft.

Second in our series of Ooosh Tech Lab AMA’s, we will be featuring Cermain Cheung and Phyllis Wong, corporate lawyers at Oldham, Li & Nie, to share advice for entrepreneurs based on their combined experience working with startups, venture capital, private equity investments, mergers and acquisitions, and cross-border transactions.
