Episode 43 - "No Shit Sherlock" - With the release of Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, we revisit the first Sherlock Holmes. Along the way, we praise Robert Downey, Jr.’s performance as a Sherlock Holmes who may or may not be suffering from mental illness, discuss the dynamic between Holmes and Dr. Watson and how it isn’t like the one in a standard buddy cop movie, and show some love for the story, which somehow manages to be complex, yet easy-to-understand.

Episode 42 - "I'm With Coco" - They say that a great performer leaves the audience wanting more. That’s how we felt after watching this movie. Except it’s not a good thing. In this week’s episode, we discuss how Conan O’Brien Can’t Stop felt more like a reality TV show than a documentary, contrast it with another documentary from 2011, The Greatest Movie Ever Sold, and disagree on the extent to which we thought Conan O’Brien came across as a jerk.

Episode 41 - "Sell Out" - This week we review our first documentary on Oops, All Movies! Morgan Spurlock returns with another highly entertaining film... Pom Wonderful Presents: The Greatest Movie Ever Sold. We aren't quite sure what the point of this movie is, but Neal is definitely sure that Subway uses Grade D meat in their sandwiches. Not only that, he claims that McDonald's food is actually healthier than Subway's. Maybe we should ask Morgan Spurlock and his damaged liver about that... Anyways, does anyone want to buy the rights to our podcast? We're totally OK with selling out.

Episode 40 - "Bringing Sexy Back" - This week, we watched a Bill Condon movie about sex... except it wasn’t “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part I.” It was “Kinsey,” Condon’s 2004 biopic about Alfred Kinsey, the Indiana University professor who dared to discuss sex in ultraconservative 1940’s and 50’s America. Where the latest Twilight movie treats sex carelessly, “Kinsey” treats it thoughtfully; where “J. Edgar,” the movie we reviewed last week, fails to express the importance of its protagonist in American history, “Kinsey” expresses precisely why Alfred Kinsey matters. Ultimately, this little movie shows those bigger movies how it’s done.

Episode 39 - "Old People" - You would think a movie about J. Edgar Hoover would be interesting, especially with Clint Eastwood directing and Leonardo DiCaprio starring. So, you can image our surprise when J. Edgar turned out to be one of the most uninteresting movies we’ve seen all year. What went wrong?

Episode 38 - "Brett Ratner" - This week’s episode starts off promising, with us being unable to contain our enthusiasm for the forthcoming James Bond film, Skyfall, but quickly goes downhill once we step inside the mind of an asshole for our review of Tower Heist, the latest movie by Brett Ratner.

Episode 37 - "Time Bandits" - It’s always refreshing to see an original idea come out of Hollywood. However, as we learned in this episode with In Time, sometimes an original idea isn’t enough to make a movie any good. From the second-rate story to the cringe-inducing dialogue, we lament that Andrew Niccol’s latest offering falls so far short in delivering on the promise of its premise.

Episode 36 - "Hallows Eve" - It's our Halloween episode! But it's not very scary... In our review of Attack the Block, we debate whether or not the film succeeds at making the main characters likable, discuss John Boyega’s performance as Moses, the film’s lead, get sidetracked on Garrett Hedlund’s performance in TRON: Legacy and the news that he’s been cast in the American remake of Akira, and rejoice at finally seeing some unique alien invaders.

Episode 35 - "Spilt Milk #7" - Hey, we haven't done one of these in a while... more score revisions! But we get that out of the way pretty quickly, and discuss some of the movies we look forward to picking up on DVD. As always, we close the show by reading some of Joe's personal e-mails.

Episode 34 - "Shaky Cam" - Aaron Eckhart and his Marines were besieged by aliens in Battle: Los Angeles. We were left yearning for a similar fate, because the only thing we were besieged by was boredom. The biggest impression this movie left on us is that we’re getting really sick of seeing shaky cam cinematography. Would somebody please find Hollywood some tripods?
