"Dragon Wars" - We divide and conquer in this episode, with Joe reviewing A Million Ways to Die in the West, Neal evaluating How to Train Your Dragon 2 and Steve assessing 22 Jump Street. Joe was less than enthusiastic about Seth MacFarlane’s follow-up to Ted, contending that the actor-director’s shtick is wearing thin, Neal calls out the strengths and weaknesses of the animation in the How to Train Your Dragon sequel, as well as some sour notes in the script, while Steve laments the preponderance of self-referential humor in the return trip to Jump Street.

"Pushup" - This week, we discuss the new sci-fi blockbuster Edge of Tomorrow. We were all pleasantly surprised after almost forgetting about this movie entirely! The performances from Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt are terrific, and the movie is engaging and most of all… not just a dumb action flick.

"The Black Goo" - In a summer that’s given us new Spider-Man and X-Men movies, we decided it was time to finally take a look back at the movies that derailed both of those respective franchises, Spider-Man 3 and X-Men: The Last Stand. In our discussion of Sam Raimi’s third and final Spider-Man feature, we agree that the movie starts off promising, but goes downhill quickly once Peter Parker turns evil from the black goo. On the flip side, in our conversation about Brett Ratner’s filmic contribution to the X-Men universe, we concur that The Last Stand sucks from the get-go and that the script by Simon Kinberg and Zak Penn deserves plenty of blame. "String Cheese" - In our review of X-Men: Days of Future Past, we discuss the franchise’s muddled continuity and how this installment helps (and hurts) it, praise James McAvoy’s dedicated performance as a young, troubled Charles Xavier, pick apart the motivations of the villains and more.

"Corn Starch" - In our review of Chef, we discuss how it’s about director Jon Favreau’s career as much as it is anything else, as well as what it has to say about social media, before praising the performances and the soundtrack. Also: We dissect the recently released image of director Zack Snyder’s take on Batman and the Batmobile for the forthcoming Man of Steel sequel.

"Gwen Stefani" - Special Guest Xander Davis joins us for a wide-ranging discussion of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 in which we dissect Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman’s writing, the themes, Peter Parker’s depiction, the performances and more, before delving into spoiler territory to assess the climax.

"Eunuchs" - After talking about 47 Ronin last week, we decided to check out another Keanu Reeves martial arts movie. In our discussion of Man of Tai Chi, we praise first time director Keanu Reeves but were less positive about his character. We enjoyed all the fight choreography but wanted a little more from the story.

"Adele Dazeem" - We might be the last three people in the world to see the massively popular Frozen. Is it worth the avalanche of hype? We try to get to the bottom of that question while discussing the characters, the movie’s sense of humor and which Disney stereotypes get turned on their heads.
