Commitment is all encompassing, when we give our lives to Christ, then our lives belong to Him.

Like every good Jewish name, Habakkuk’s name has a meaning. It means to embrace. It means to wrestle. Even when you are in the dip and you don’t understand, you continue to embrace God, even perhaps, wrestle with Him. You embrace Him, and even though He may not change the outward circumstances, or He may, He will take you spiritually to a new place of trust.

What's going on here? That's the question Habakkuk is now faced with. Things have gone from bad to worse and there doesn't seem to be any light at the end of tunnel... Ever been there?

When Jesus called someone to be His disciple, he meant for them to his pupil, his student, his follower. In other words, Jesus was saying, 'What I want you to do is I want you to live like I live. I want you to love like I love and I want you to do what I do. Follow me. I'm not asking you just to believe what I believe, but I'm asking you to live what I live.' Let's do life together. Let's go and change the world together. I'm not inviting you to a belief system or to join an organization, I’m not asking you to become a theologian or debate the finer details of some obscure theological argument.
