Jasmine Todd is one of the world's top duel event athletes in the sport of track and field. With personal bests of 10.92 in the 100m and a long jump best of 6.84. Originally from San Diego, California, she grew up mainly in chandler Arizona where she eventually stepped on the track and instantly made a name for herself. After becoming nationally ranked in both the sprints and long jump, she accepted a scholarship to attended the University of Oregon. But slightly before she got there, in her senior year of high school she had an injury that almost derailed her path. Nonetheless, she got herself healthy and in 2015 her perseverance paid off when she put together a dominant season where she established herself as one of the top athletes in the NCAA and the world. After making the world championship team that summer, she went on to anchor an American relay team that captured a silver medal. In this episode, we discuss the ups and downs of her sporting career to date, the impact the pandemic made on her mentally & physically.
