I will put enmity

After David had finished talking with Saul, Jonathan became one in spirit with David, and he loved him as himself. From that day Saul kept David with him and did
not let him return home to his family.
And Jonathan made a covenant with David because he loved him as himself. Jonathan took off the robe he was wearing and gave it to David, along with his tunic, and even his sword, his bow and his belt.

“For he is the living God
and he endures forever;
his kingdom will not be destroyed,
his dominion will never end.
He rescues and he saves;
he performs signs and wonders
in the heavens and on the earth.
He has rescued Daniel
from the power of the lions.”

According to the Scripture—the words God caused to be written down that we now call the Bible—God makes plans, He makes promises, and he fulfills the promises he makes. The Bible makes that claim over and over.
There aren’t many passages of scripture that tell more about God making promises than in Genesis 12-25, the story of the life of Abraham. And it causes us to ask: did God make good on His promises? But, even beyond that... Is He the same God today?
Does He still promise and fulfill? How do we know? And, even more importantly, maybe, we want to know: if this God is real, if He is the Same God, does he care about ME? Does he have plans for ME? Will he reveal his will to ME and carry ME through? And how can I KNOW?

And Moses said to the people, “Fear not, stand firm, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will work for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall
never see again. The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent.”
