John 5:1-9 The healing of the man at the Pool of Bethesda

Jesus asks the man at the pool of Bethesda if he wants to get well - the insinuation is that he may not - Why not? Experiencing the healing power of Jesus requires humility and trust to step, in faith, into the unknown with our full weight on Him and little or no reliance on ourselves or our ability.
1. What might you be saying 'no' to Jesus in regards to some healing or change in your life - Why?

2. What things have you perhaps misplaced your hope in to heal or 'fix' you?

“I am only able to release from false identities when I fully trust in Christ’s forgiveness of me. When I embrace His grace in every facet of my life, I am brought out of moral striving and into a freedom to experience love.

SCRIPTURE: Luke 7:36-50

Jesus, gracious and loving as He always is, accepts an invitation to dinner with a Pharisee, and we watch Him receive love and adoration from a forgiven woman who washes His feet with her tears. With perception and insight, He gives instruction to those who are listening.
