In session 16, "Cultivating intention through attention" Dustin Guinee guides practitioners through the transformative power of setting and living with intention. While setting goals is about achieving a specific objective, setting intentions is about aligning one's head and heart to embody the state of being that most fully expresses our authentic self. So if we're trying to attract more love and kindness into our lives, rather than looking to external sources, we cultivate loving kindness in ourselves, which then attracts more loving kindness into our lives. By bringing greater attention and nonjudgemental awareness to our intention practice we become mindful of when we're living in alignment with our intentions and when we're deviating from the path. During the guided meditation on intention, Dustin guides meditators on a journey of examining who they are, their truest intentions and shares his latest poem "Intention Through Attention" capturing the transformational potential of this practice. If you haven't checked out OMOH session 15: Life visioning for who you are becoming, it is an excellent primer for this session on intention.
