putting on your speculation goggles for a second, what do you think the impact of the covid 19 situation will have on awards season next year? with theaters closed for the near future and so many movies being postponed beyond what would be eligible for the 2021 awards, do you see them being cancelled, also pushed back to later in the year? also, what do you think happens to any award-worthy movies that were slated to appear in theaters, but were later decided to be released on VOD, without any kind of theater run. Will the usual qualifying rules be suspended for them? will the academy make exceptions this year? Again, i understand its all highly speculative right now, but I'm curious about your thoughts.

What do you think has led to the dip in storytelling quality in superhero animation? It seems we have a group of classics from the 90’s: Spider-Man 94, 90’s X-Men, and Batman: The Animated Series. I listened to an interview with the creators of the X-Men series, and they talked about talking “up “ to kids instead of “down” to them. They always felt pressure to insert superficial storylines to appeal to toy lines and endorsements, but fought against that on several occasions in order to preserve creative quality. Is it really profitable for Disney/Marvel to keep putting out poor animated shows? A recent example is the cancellation of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes in favor of Avengers Assemble.
