DGUSA is back in Milwaukee with Way of the Ronin 2011 on 9/11/2011 from the Miramar Theater with one of the more bizarre entries in the history of Dragon Gate USA. Before getting into the show, Case and Mike talk about other big events happening in the last summer and fall 2011, including the All Together shows in Japan, PWG Battle of Los Angeles 2011, and Ring of Honor’s Death Before Dishonor IX.

After that, it’s time for Way of the Ronin 2011, a show laden with lighting issues, Sabu, microphones not working, awkward scramble matches, and perhaps the most bizarre segment in DGUSA history opening up the iPPV. It’s not all absurdity, as event features a huge Title vs Title main event of the Spiked Mohicans of CIMA and Ricochet putting the Open the Twin Gate belts up against the Open the United Gate belts held by Masato Yoshino and PAC, Naruki Doi vs Johnny Gargano & Akira Tozawa vs Jon Davis.

Dangerous Gate is finally here and OTVG is back to talk about the go-home shows in Osaka and preview DG’s biggest show so far this year. Case and Mike break down the doubleshot in Edion Arena #2 Osaka from 9/12 and 9/13 and then go deep talking about each match on Dragongate’s big show, Dangerous Gate, happening on 9/21 from Tokyo’s Ota City General Gymnasium. Will all three champions retain? How will the Special Singles Match go with “Mr. February” Kzy facing off against “Mr. Ota City” Naruki Doi in the rematch of their MOTYC contender from February?

And then we get into the big match. The Dragongate Risk Cage match has moved from May to September this year as Masato Yoshino will defend his career against Eita, YAMATO, BxB Hulk, KAI and Big R Shimizu. Case and Mike take time to explain all of the rules for this years cage match, and what risks are at stake. Will Masato Yoshino be forced to retire before Kobe World? Will Eita be expelled from R.E.D? Will KAI be forced into joining R.E.D. or leave the company? What about the forced gimmick changes that YAMATO, Hulk or Shimizu might face? It’s the biggest show of DGUSA’s 2011 Midwest Weekend, as the company returns to the Congress Theater in Chicago, IL on 9/10/2011 for “Untouchable 2011!” Before we get into the show review, a ton of stuff has been happening in Japan that we need to catch up on.

Although it was talked about last week on Rewind and Rewatch, Case and Mike talk a bit about the 6/8/2011 Korakuen that launched Dragon Gate Japan’s huge summer. From there, they discuss Kobe World Pro Wrestling Festival 2011, perhaps the greatest Kobe World of all-time, Summer Adventure Tag league 2011 aka the Hulk+Akira show, and the return of the Masaaki Mochizuki produce shows “Buyuden!”

After that, it’s time for the penultimate DGUSA Chicago show with a main event Open the Freedom Gate match with YAMATO defending against CIMA, Akira Tozawa versus Johnny Gargano, and a four-way freestyle with the winner making any match they want with Naruki Doi, Masato Yoshino, Chuck Taylor and Sami Callihan. Also Sabu makes his DGUSA debut, which was something that happened in 2012.

It’s Dragon Gate USA’s first weekend in the Midwest in 2011 and it’s time to go into Lowe Territory as Case and Mike cover “Chasing the Dragon” from Indianapolis, Indiana at the Salvation Army Community Center on 9/9/2011. Before we get to that, there’s landmark events occurring in Dragon Gate proper as the gang talks about one of the most important Korakuen shows in DG’s history: 6/8/2011 with the official formation of Junction Three and the turn of BXB Hulk & Akira Tozawa’s first show back from excursion! It's DGUSA's two year anniversary! Before ending the anniversary weekend with "DGUSA Enter the Dragon 2011 - Second Anniversary Celebration," Case and Mike talk about the big events of May and June 2011 including Jon Moxley reporting to FCW, and how indicative his class at WWE's developmental was of the times, EVOLVE's first-ever Style Battle, Akira Tozawa's final weekend in PWG, and perhaps two separate events that most drastically changed the wrestling landscape of the 2010s with nearly a decade of hindsight: New Japan's first-ever USA tour that crowns the first IWGP Intercontinental Champion and Ring of Honor is bought by Sinclair Broadcast Group.

The Second Anniversary has us roll into the NYWC Sportatorium for “Uprising 2011” on 6/4/2011, but before that, Case and Mike have to dip into Japan to catch everyone up to speed on what’s happening in Dragon Gate. It’s Dead or Alive and King of Gate time for DG in 2011, with a ton of turns and formations as are in the first days of the then named “Mochizuki Army” that will very soon become Junction Three and there’s a TON to cover to get to Second Anniversary Weekend.

With that done, Case and Mike review “Uprising 2011,” an underwhelming affair that officially concluded Akira Tozawa’s excursion and the last show before “Enter the Dragon 2011.” Highlights of the show include A.R. Fox’s first big singles match in DGUSA against Akira Tozawa and a special three way freestyle match between the three best flyers at that poin in the Dragon System, PAC vs Ricochet vs Rich Swann!
