In this relationship, I had a great conversation with Angela Jenkins about diets vs holistic lives when it comes to weight loss and being healthy. We spoke about why eating “healthy” still is not enough for so many people, especially in midlife, and how symptoms are often clues instead of problems to suppress? We talked about America when it comes to chemicals in our food and processed food, even though it seems healthy, but it really isn't. We talked about weight loss when it comes to the reasons why you are losing weight that can lead to gaining the weight right back. We talked about how even though some people look, eat, exercise, and seem healthy externally, that doesn't physically mean that they are healthy internally. The stereotype in society standards when it comes to external health and wellness, and physical appearance. We talk about the importance of mental and physical communication when it comes to decisions, actions, behavior, and choices that will impact and affect your health and wellness. We talked about understanding how detoxification, gut health, inflammation, nutrient status, environmental exposures, and lifestyle all work together. A little about Angela, she is the founder of Health Is Local and a Registered Dietitian with 30 plus years of clinical experience. I teach a root-cause approach through what I call The Root Cause Lens, helping people understand how detoxification, gut health, inflammation, nutrient status, environmental exposures, and lifestyle all work together. My focus is real food, practical detoxification, and helping people restore energy, clarity, and confidence. It was a great conversation, and I hope that you guys enjoy the conversation.
