Markwayne Mullin is sworn in as Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) on March 24, 2026.

Mullin, a former Senator from Oklahoma, is a citizen of the Cherokee Nation. He is the first Native person in President Donald Trump's cabinet and the first Native person to lead the DHS.

Mullin's ceremony took place at the White House.
