Produced and directed by Wolfgang Reitherman, it is the 21st Disney animated feature film and the first entirely "post-Walt" animated feature.

Join Ben, Sam, and Ryan, as we continue our journey into the Disney Vault!
Unfortunately, the sound mix got messed up this week and Ben came through a bit strong, hang with us and we will have this fixed for the next episode!
Follow along as we discuss not only the good and the bad but how the movie stacks up against those that came before it.
The story is set in a fictional England somewhat resembling that of the 15th century. When King Uther Pendragon dies leaving no heir, a sword magically appears in an anvil, itself embedded in a stone, with an inscription proclaiming that whoever removes the sword is the rightful King of England. None succeed in removing the sword, which eventually becomes forgotten, leaving England in a situation akin to the Wars of the Roses. Join us as we follow a story of an 11-year-old Arthur as he makes his way to becoming king.

The 25th Disney animated feature film is loosely based on the first two books in The Chronicles of Prydain by Lloyd Alexander, a series of five novels that are based on Welsh mythology. If you haven't heard of it, don't be to upset, Disney buried it for over 12 years... maybe with good reason.
