Opening the Vault

Looking back at our childhood, Ben, Sam and Ryan come together to talk about the Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh! The 1977 American animated musical anthology film produced by Walt Disney Productions and distributed by Buena Vista Distribution, we follow Winnie the Pooh through three great adventures which bring together the friends of the 100 Acre Wood! It is the 22nd Disney animated feature film and was first released on a double bill with The Littlest Horse Thieves on March 11, 1977.

Who can say no to a Disney classic that brought together the iconic story of Robin Hood and the magic of Disney. Join Ben, Sam and Ryan as they come together to talk all things Robin Hood, Little John, and the inhabitants of Nottingham as they fight against the excessive taxation of Prince John, and Robin Hood wins the hand of Maid Marian. If you didn't know, Robin Hood is a 1973 American animated adventure musical comedy film, based on the English folk tale of the same name with the characters reimagined as anthropomorphic animals. Produced and directed by Wolfgang Reitherman, it is the 21st Disney animated feature film and the first entirely "post-Walt" animated feature.

The Aristocats is a 1970 American animated romantic musical comedy film produced by Walt Disney Productions and directed by Wolfgang Reitherman. Join Ben, Sam, and Ryan and they discuss the 20th Disney animated feature film, the film is based on a story by Tom McGowan and Tom Rowe, and revolves around a family of aristocratic cats, and how an alley cat acquaintance helps them after a butler has kidnapped them to gain his mistress's fortune which was intended to go to them.

The story is set in a fictional England somewhat resembling that of the 15th century. When King Uther Pendragon dies leaving no heir, a sword magically appears in an anvil, itself embedded in a stone, with an inscription proclaiming that whoever removes the sword is the rightful King of England. None succeed in removing the sword, which eventually becomes forgotten, leaving England in a situation akin to the Wars of the Roses. Join us as we follow a story of an 11-year-old Arthur as he makes his way to becoming king.

The Black Cauldron is a 1985 American animated dark fantasy adventure film produced by Walt Disney Feature Animation. The 25th Disney animated feature film is loosely based on the first two books in The Chronicles of Prydain by Lloyd Alexander, a series of five novels that are based on Welsh mythology. If you haven't heard of it, don't be to upset, Disney buried it for over 12 years... maybe with good reason.
