Vision 2020 Part 2

You're running an empire- say a mega-church. You're expecting to leave this holy legacy for your children who we'll call Hophni and Phinehas for the sake of progress. You also happen to be taking care of a boy whose mum left him at your house; you sensed 'beer after beer' vibes but she refused and you left it because that's really not your business. Anyway, long story short , the boy takes over! As far as the vision you had set out for...well, let's just say your eyes grew dim and your boys made the situation all the more grim...

I can give you my heart and soul but I probably will press mute when you call. I'll give you the world as long as its watching. Can you see me now? Tanatswa and Rutendo are hosting a show and tell in our little corner of the pulpit today. Make sure you have got on your Sunday best!

A man in a certain country get's a job hook-up from his brother Andrew. He finds out fringe benefits include free wine, loaves of bread and the occasional fish here and there; seems pretty neat. The problem is it's a `Power in Peace` gig and that's not usually the man's portion but he figured he'd get the hang of it. I hate to *cut* the story short but Kuziyakwashe is ready in our little corner of the pulpit. He'll be talking to us about the easy road and how to do things nechekuseri (backdoor). 

As for that man I'll let you know once I *ear* more. I think I forgot the part about a *sword* or keeping score?

As for the ten virgins I can't help but wonder: If their encounter happened during the day, would 5 still have stood out?

Joined by Bethel in our little corner of the pulpit we are exploring the experience of waning faith. 

When we meet God only when it's dark and hours are odd, one wonders what intimacy will spark and if it can sustain us when we are no longer cold?
