LAPD (Los Angeles Police Department) one of the country’s most prominent police departments. The LAPDs history is filled with heroism, skepticism, conspiracies, conflict, and legacies. How many TV shows, movies, books, and more are based on the life and times of an LAPD police officer, or detective...countless.
So, we take you back to the 1980s, straight into the streets of LA, up and down the coast of California, things were happening everywhere...from the hair bands up and down the Sunset Strip, to the gangs of LA...it was all a crazy clown show! We bring you Operation Hammer, the LAPDs struggle to control the gangs of LA led to the opening of Operation Hammer...pioneered by LAPD Chief of police Daryl Gates, was he a hero, a villain, or a man on a mission...well, dive in and listen, make your own assessment. From the Crips and Bloods, to many other rival street gangs running loose in LA, we take you in, things get weird!
Hope you love the show!

Sources say Grandmaster Flash - White Lines released the song the same year as the LAPD launched the DARE program, and it was not associated with the LAPD...or was it, other sources say LAPD DARE program used the track in the early 1980s as part of their campaign, as it is an anti-drug song?
