Join us on The Dog Tag as we host Marine veteran Corporal Bobby Christopher. Bobby is a combat veteran and currently serves as president of the Mid America Veterans Museum, formerly known as The St. Charles County Veterans Museum.
Bobby walks us through his military and combat experiences as a 0352 TOW (tube-launched optically tracked wire-guided missile system) Anti-tank Missile Gunner from 2002-2008, and was deployed to Iraq in 2005.
We also discuss Bobby’s role as the museum board president, and he shares updates on the museum’s new branding, the building project, and the hiring of our new executive director.
After graduating from St. Louis University with a degree in Business, he joined the Missouri Air National Guard and was assigned to the 131st Tactical Fighter Wing as a weapons mechanic.
Joe has traveled several interesting, exciting, and successful career paths in his life including leader and bass player for the rhythm and blues rock and soul horn band The Spirit of St. Louis, musical artist manager touring with The Moody Blues and the band Chicago, owner/operator of Rumbolo’s Deli On The Hill in St. Louis, MO, radio talk show host, creator and co-founder if the Awakening Zone Radio Network presenting 51 shows in 12 languages from all over the world, facilitator and certified transformational trainer.
When he retired, Boredom immediately set in, and he began his search for his “Retirement Career.” He initially found it as a Medicare agent with UnitedHealthcare but soon discovered that he could be more effective as a broker, representing many carriers, so he joined Comprehensive Benefits and now represents all the major carriers.
Joe is not only a broker, but he is on Medicare, too, just like you. His training and experience as a broker, along with being a beneficiary, allow him to expertly guide you through the minefield that is Medicare
Currently, Joe is a Licensed Medicare Broker, representing all of the major carriers, and he especially works closely with Veterans who use the VA, surviving spouses who have ChampVA, and Veterans who have Tricare for Life, as well as anyone who is on Medicare.

Growing up in Ferguson, MO, Tim Taylor was completely oblivious to the geopolitical issues that our country faced. That was until September 11, 2001. That day changed Tim's view on the world and led him to join the U.S. Army. Tim served with the 3rd Infantry Division as a cannon crew member from 2003-2006. On October 27, 2005, Tim's vehicle was struck by an IED while providing convoy security for the Department of Justice in Baghdad, Iraq. The injuries sustained left him with a mostly amputated left hand, severe damage to his right hand, and traumatic brain injury. Unable to continue service, Tim was medically retired from the military in 2006. Now, he is married to the same woman he began dating just four months before deploying. They have three beautiful children. His story is one of pain, endurance, resilience, drive, opportunity, love, and patriotism.
CPL Dominic Masters joins us once again in the studio to share the second half of his incredible story. Dominic provides us with an in-depth picture of his struggle with addiction and journey through healing and recovery.
You can listen to Part I of Dominic's story on the Dog Tag Podcast.
(02:03) Introduction
Our guest tonight is Colonel Ted Hodgson (Ret.), who works with America's Warrior Partnership, which partners with communities to prevent veteran suicide.
COL Ted Hodgson served in the military for 34 years. His last assignment before retiring in 2012 was at CENTCOM. CENTCOM directs and enables military operations and activities with allies and partners to increase regional security and stability in support of enduring U.S. interests. He led several key initiatives at CENTCOM, including creating a new supply chain into Afghanistan called the Northern Distribution Network and the New Silk Road initiative, which developed a comprehensive economic plan for Afghanistan.
Join us on the Dog Tag Podcast as we host our guest, Paul "Bud" Haedike. Bud joined the Army Air Corps in 1944 and was a bombardier flying on a B-17 Flying Fortress. Bud had the distinction of being shot down on his very first mission. Fortunately, the crew crash-landed and made it back to their base. They went on to fly twenty-two more missions.

Every Veteran Has a Story, They Can Share It Here
Brought to you by the Mid America Veterans Museum in O’Fallon, Missouri, this podcast facilitates stories of service and sacrifice as told by veterans. Marvel as military history is brought to life through firsthand accounts and insightful conversations. Operation Insight delivers compelling interviews with servicemembers both past and present, veteran advocates, and friends of our museum who remain dedicated to preserving the legacy of our heroes.
Join Gold Star Son Jason Galvan and Army veteran and former Paratrooper Ethan Groce as they introduce the audience to men and women who bravely served their country and were prepared to die for it if need be. The guests celebrated and highlighted on this podcast only ever sought to serve. They did not seek the spotlight. In fact, many guests say, "I didn't do anything worth telling," and that's where the mission of the museum steps in. Ralph Barrale, visionary and founder of the Mid America Veterans Museum, felt with every fiber of his being that "Every veteran has a story," no matter how long or short their service was; No matter where they went or where they stayed. The museum and this podcast believe that selfless service is a rarity and must be celebrated and cherished. That's our mission: to present the stories of our veterans with curiosity and interest, with dignity and respect, with honesty and purpose. We do this not only to educate and maybe even, on occasion, to entertain, but to inspire the next generation to take up the mantle of sacrifice and service for our country. If you value veterans and veteran-related issues and topics, you have a home here. So, with that, Welcome Home!
