What happens when a kid becomes famous before they’re old enough to understand what fame actually costs?

This week on OPINIONish, we’re talking about child stars, the ones who made it, the ones who struggled, and the ones Hollywood seemed to chew up and leave behind. From Macaulay Culkin, Daniel Radcliffe and Selena Gomez to Judy Garland, Dana Plato, Corey Haim and Bobby Driscoll, the stories are wildly different, but the pressure is often very much the same.

Have we forgotten how to behave around each other?

Somewhere between smartphones, speakerphones, social media, texting and treating every public space like our living room, our unwritten “social contract” may have taken a serious hit.

On this episode of OPINIONish, Mitch English and Travis Dale sit down with nationally recognized etiquette expert Maralee McKee, founder of The Etiquette School of America, to talk about what modern manners actually look like.

And no, this isn’t an hour about which fork you’re supposed to use.

Maralee explains why etiquette is really about respect, confidence, boundaries and making other people feel comfortable.
