Episode 7 of the podcast is a technique I am learning in Bible college, about how to connect portions of Scripture to another. 

Today's episode is a two segment one!

The first is responding to an article I saw on Facebook, about Jesus paying the price for our sins is not in the Bible. The passages of Scripture I referenced were Rom 6:23; 1 Cor 6:20; 7:23. 

The second part or segment is responding to a series of comments on the article I talked about, about Satan being "our father"... What!

In today's episode I talk about an image that I saw someone share on Facebook (disagreeing with). The image was of someone holding a sign that read "Going to hell & proud!". This saddened and upset me because of what awaits them. Here are the verses I referenced in the episode (I did not reference all of them, that would be a loong episode!).

Hell was originally created for the devil and his angels

Hell is a consequence of rejecting God

Who’s proud of that?! Christians have Heaven to be proud of!

“God’s habitation where he is worshipped and served by angels. Solely on account of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross, believers will inherit a place in heaven and there for ever enjoy perfect fellowship with God…”.

Heaven is the secure inheritance, of priceless value, awaiting the redeemed. There, faithful service will be rewarded and the redeemed will be given resurrection bodies for service in the heavenly realm.

Believers inherit the kingdom of heaven

Their inheritance is secure Mt 25:34 See also Lk 12:32; 22:28-29; Jas 2:5

The value of their inheritance is beyond human calculation

As those adopted into God’s family they are heirs of God and Christ

The nature of the heavenly inheritance

It is a response to faith and love Jas 2:5 See also Col 1:12; 3:24; Heb 11:7

It is for overcomers Rev 21:7 See also 1Jn 4:4; 5:3-5; Rev 2:7,11,17,26-28; 3:5,12,21

The heavenly treasure is to be sought

Heavenly rewards

Service will be rewarded in heaven

The prospect of heavenly rewards should be a spur to present service Php 3:14 See also Heb 11:26

Rewards will vary

Endurance for Jesus Christ’s sake will be specially rewarded

Rewards for service include crowns signifying position and authority

The redeemed will share Jesus Christ’s position in glory

The resurrection body as a heavenly inheritance
