Opulent Temple Podcast -- sacred dance to world class dance music

Our stacked line up for the sold out LA Sacred Dance event this year meant I got to play early. Gave me a welcome chance to build energy. Opening for Croatia Squad meant I didn't get to play any Croatia Squad. :-P Opening sets are always better for re-listen value later cause the deeper tracks have more to offer over time. Many shades of house, thanks LA for an amazing night

It's Christmas, and we're here to give you a present in the form of Wayne Lynch...

Join Wayne Lynch for a journey through ethereal, melodic techno as we bring you the live recording from our magical Snow Ball party at Public Works. The genre-fluid set carefully blends forthcoming, unreleased tracks with niche house gems.

"Opportunity of a lifetime. Ten years ago, to this date, the first time, hearing DJ Dan, seeing Opulent Temple, experiencing burring man for the first time. This Idaho boy walked into burning man oblivious, overwhelmed, and awestruck. I discovered a love, a community, and music. Inspired, we built a Denver camp called the Bad Astronauts. My community, music, people.

Ten years later being able to play, on that stage, the place where it all started. This set encompasses over seven years of my favorite music, played on that one magical night, on that one magical stage, at that one magical place."

"I put this mix together after recently playing the Dragon Ass Ball up in Sacramento. I had so much fun, and that set turned out to be one of my top favorite performances ever. It wasn't recorded, but I was able to put the same songs in the exact same order they were played that night. This is a peak time set, I hope you enjoy!"

What a treat to be able to drop this set for the San Francisco crew. The sense of tradition and specialness was palpable. That loving, White Party vibe. Went a little funky, a little dirty, and very housey on this one. Enjoy!!

This week we're hitting you with a double dose of exactly what the doctor ordered, Brian Peek starts off your day with some bassline oriented funky dark grooves followed by Loomer with his dirty house set to get you ready for the weekend so stay tuned for this evenings post!

Here's Brian to tell you about that magical night in L.A.:

"Our 8th time in LA had stunning production value, decor, and we pulled out all the stops. This is my primetime 1am to 2am set and I didn't hold out energetically, the music was rooted in the groove with a strong bassline as my i'm typically guilt of. Prominent funky aesthetics throughout while journeying into some darker sounds that still keep the floor thumping. Enjoy!"

With our fabulous White Party on the books for this year we'll be hitting you hard in the coming weeks with our delicious grooves from Sacred Dance. To get the vibe started right, we give you Syd Gris:

"There's no better party to play in SF than Sacred Dance, but with short sets to make room for everyone, gotta make every track count. Went for some music to match the vibe, with some feel good melody, compulsory groove, a remixes classic and even an indulgent trance break down . Hope you enjoy!"

With a solar eclipse ushering in new beginnings, Billy and Elsa Seal were part of the team that produced the camp Opulent Chill at Burning Man 2017. A space to relax and recharge, providing zen experience through music, fire and vibe. The co-creators opened the stage on Monday night sharing their interpretation of the soundscape for what Opulent Chill was all about.

Thirty minute sets each, Elsa begins the hour with an Alan Watts sample on music stating "To be able to enjoy it(music), we have got to live each moment of the playing and listen to it as if it were the only thing important to listen to."
