WAUKESHA, WI, ProHealth Care will broadcast a surgery live via the Internet during a webcast at 10am, Thursday, August 10. The surgery will be a robotic prostatectomy procedure using the da Vinci Surgical System at Waukesha Memorial Hospital. "Robotic prostatectomy is the latest, cutting edge surgical option available today to treat men with prostate cancer," says Brian Butler, MD, FACS, ProHealth Care urologist and surgeon for the August 10 Webcast. "There are benefits to having a robotic prostatectomy surgery as opposed to traditional prostatectomy. However, robotic surgery is not right for every man diagnosed with prostate cancer." In combination with our prostate care coordinator, the webcast is a great way for us in the Center for Prostate Care to partner with our patients and to educate them and empower them to make the decision that's best for them and their families.
