Roy Englebrecht has been promoting combat sports in Orange County for  over 40 years. This interview might not be about hardcore music per se,  but, what Roy has accomplished is pretty hardcore, he's done it all in  Orange County, CA, and myself, Mike Hartsfield, PT Pugh and Jason  Hampton (Outspoken, The Supression Swing, Revolution Mother) all snuck  in and worked a show for Roy in 1994 under the guise that we were the  UCI Track Team!

In this SceneStop, we revisit a club in Santa Ana called El Nuevo  Monterey. This show was supposed to feature DOWNCAST, A CHORUS OF  DISAPPROVAL, BLOODLINE, STRIFE and MEAN SEASON. It was billed as an All  Ages show but there was an age limit, and that plays very importantly  into why this show was cancelled during the opening band.
