Last week, we talked about living in the overflow, meaning to be saturated with God's presence to the point we begin to overflow His Glory. Since we cannot contain His Glory, the overflow becomes the catalyst to our calling.  Logically, this sounds reasonable, however, spiritually, we will be stretched beyond our own ability.  We cannot afford to be so preoccupied with just living life that we forget why we were created!  We must be ready when the door opens, because it’s the small opportunities, at just the right time, that may count the most, which is why we must always be listening to what the Holy Spirit is saying…

Although we often ask God, Why?… do we really want to hear His answer? When we think about it honestly, God doesn’t actually owe us an explanation for what He does or how He does it. But this is by no means in a callous, uncaring sort of way, but I believe that the Lord knows that there is nothing that He can say that would satisfy us, an answer that we could actually embrace and understand.  So when life gets hard, it is so very important for us to always take a quiet moment to listen to what the Holy Spirit is saying...

This is a very interesting question coming from someone who doesn’t even know how to swim. But, may I say that I will never look at the story of Peter walking on water ever the same. I believe that our biggest opportunity in life today is that we keep trying make it all make sense! I’m sorry that I have to be the one to tell you that it's not gonna make sense no matter how hard we try.  We are God's AMAZING creation, and we must stop trying to figure out the Creator!  

Unfortunately, in the midst of the chaos of this world, we are being inundated with all kinds of the negative information and numerous distractions and if we are honest, we have to admit that it becomes more and more difficult not to ask God why, so it becomes more and more important for us to "take a quiet moment to listen to what the Holy Spirit is saying"...

Last week, I left you with the question, “how would we define our success?” I’d like to suggest that this question may be a tad premature. I believe a better question would be, as you move forward, “Do you have a destination in mind”?  We know that although the Holy Spirit will lead us and direct us towards our ultimate goal, He will not give us all the details.  May I suggest that once we see our destination and we are determined to get our destination, we may face obstacles, which is why it is so important to Always take a quiet moment to listen to what the Holy Spirit is saying...

Today, I want to speak to all of you who may be trying to emulate the way others have done things in the past and have expected the same results.  For many of us are now discovering that to fulfill the assignment that the Lord has given us and achieve His desired results, “We must do it His Way”!

The topic for this week's podcast was all in my corn flakes… and what’s fascinating is that I didn’t realize how much so until Friday. The Holy Spirit continues to Blow my Mind on how He works, and in most cases, we don’t even realize that He’s working on our behalf, especially as we move into new unchartered territory.

Earlier in the week, I was listening to a message entitled “This Doesn’t Fit”, by Dr. Dharius Daniels.  At the end of his message, he talked about the fact that he had never fit in, even when he was called into ministry. He said that even as we are walking in our calling, we are not healed from that feeling of being different.  I too never quite felt that I fit in anywhere. I often wondered if something was wrong with me. I always felt weird. But I was never supposed to fit in and neither are you!

I want you to start this week with a “Praise Break”!  Forget about your problems, forget about your cares; forget about the situation and circumstances at hand… and Remember God is Good, All the time and All the time God is Good!  

As you go about your day this week, "Take a Praise Break". Find a Psalm to read or simply a song to sing, even if you are like me and you can't carry a tune... it really doesn't matter.  Let everything that have breath praise the LORD. Praise the Lord!
