As a result of their complaining God sends poisonous snakes to bite the people. When the people cry out and repent of their sin God instructs Moses to make a bronze/copper serpent and put it on a staff for the people to look to. In this lesson, Pastor Miller covers Numbers 20:1-13 where Moses dishonors and disobeys God. He is given instructions by God to speak to the rock to bring forth water but instead Moses speaks to the people complaining about their rebellion, claims that he and Aaron must bring water out for them, and then strikes the rock twice. This action is what ultimately prevents Moses and Aaron from entering the promised land.
