In this lesson Pastor Driskell asks the question, “How can I give gifts in a way that honor God?” Too often we give gifts with strings attached or we give gifts expecting something in return, but if we are to give gifts in a way that pleases God we are to give freely as they had received. In this sermon Pastor Miller looks at Acts 1-2 through the eyes of Peter. The early Church was beginning to follow Christ without having Christ physically with them and in Acts 2 Peter preached with power his first sermon on the day of Pentecost where 3,000 were saved. In this lesson Joseph Currier walks through John 1 and specifically John 1:13 where John talks how we are born spiritually. He uses his hands as memory tools for the truths of the new birth. Spiritual birth does not come from our blood lines or of the desire for someone to be born spiritually. As eternal beings we will spend our eternity somewhere and we must be born spiritually. After looking at the Bibles history of national fasts he then lists many fasts that were called for by both America and England.
