We got the chance to interview legendary Maple Leaf Darryl Sittler! Darryl was a Maple Leaf for 12 years, 6 of which he served as the team's captain. He holds the NHL record for points in a game with 10, he was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1989, and was named one of the 100 greatest NHL players of all time in 2017. We spoke to Darry about himself, his playing career, his 10-point game, the Maple Leafs of today, and his involvement with Colorectal Cancer Canada.
Did you know that Ryan loves stats!?!? This week, Ryan, Paul, and Zac take a look back on the Leafs' 4-0 week, and discuss if Simmonds is 'back,' if Galchenyuk is here to stay, and if Tavares is finally in his zone. We also discuss the upcoming trade deadline, and some moves that we would like to see Kyle Dubas make. Featured segments include Ask the Boys, Debate, 2 Truths & A Lie, and more!
Episode 10, wow time flies. This episode is filled with all of our favourite segments, so what more could you ask for? We discussed Galchenyuk's fit on the 2nd line, what the Maple Leafs should target before the trade deadline, whether or not Matthews is back, and much more. 2 Truths & A Lie made its long awaited return, and Ask the Boys was back for its second consecutive week!
This is a fun one! On this episode, the boys give each player on the Maple Leafs a mid-season grade, and we also hand out some hardware. Giving out awards such as MVP, Most Improved, Best Newcomer, The Tyler Biggs "Whatever Happened to You" Award, the Joffrey Lupul "Always Injured" Award, and many more! We also answered some fan questions in a brand new segment called Ask the Boys. And as always, we broke down the Leafs' previous two games against the Calgary Flames, and looked ahead at the three upcoming games for the buds this week.
Is it just us, or have the Maple Leafs been looking a lot like they did a year ago under Mike Babcock? Not starting on time, late pushes in games and coming up just short. Hopefully they start to turn things around, but the boys of Original 6ix get pretty animated when the buds aren't doing well, so at least there's that. Listen to hear us talk about the trade rumours surrounding the Leafs, talk about upcoming expiring contracts, and all of your other favourite segments!
Exclusion is fun when you're an adult! Kidding. Maybe. This episode we take a look back at the Maple Leafs' rather forgettable week where they went 1-3-0. With some laughs and bad jokes along the way, we also introduce a brand new segment called "Paul's Rant." And of course, listen for all of your favourite usual segments!!
The Maple Leafs are starting to have good problems, and we're here for it! Having good problems like not knowing where in the lineup to put Wayne Simmonds when he returns from injury, or which goalie between Hutchinson and Campbell should start in net since they're both playing well. These are the early sign of a good team, even a really good team. Listen to what we think has been our best episode yet, because we had so much fun with this one!
Sometimes, winning hockey games is as simple as passing the puck to your best players. Since Frederik Gauthier is no longer on the Maple Leafs, it has to be Auston Matthews. In this episode, we take a look back at the Maple Leafs' 3-1-0 week, their upcoming 3-game set against the surging Oilers, talk about the Mikael Granlund trade rumours, and of course have some of our fan-favourite segments!
It was 5-1. Then it was 5-2. 5-3. And so on. Then it was 6-5, and we were very, very sad. And frustrated. And miserable. This episode we take an unfortunately long look back at the past week of the Toronto Maple Leafs' season. We also talk about players returning from injuries, our ideal line combinations, and we had some of our favourite segments in, Two Truths & A Lie, Over / Under, and Would You Rather.
In this episode, we take an in-depth look back at the Maple Leafs' three game home stand against the Vancouver Canucks. We also preview the Leafs' next two games against the Montreal Canadiens, in which we think are the most important games of the season so far. Listen for some of your favourite segments such as "Over / Under" and "Would You Rather."
