Somewhere in the late 1960s, Brother Harry Carr from England wrote a presentation called "600 Years of Craft Ritual," in which he described his findings as to how our Masonic Ritual had evolved over the course of 600 years.

Also within this presentation, he sprinkles bits of his 'Transition Theory' which says that Speculative Masonry directly evolved from the Operative Craft.
