Here's what the OV Podcast is planning

This resolution, other than some minor changes, should've passed in about 15 minutes. However, Vice Mayor Barrett is concerned about the definition of what a  school is and consequently the deliberation goes on for a long time. Councilman Nicholson is concerned about funding, but he has been an advocate for the expensive BMX track. I think you'll find this very interesting.

As you may remember, Vice mayor Barrett motioned a denial to put RV storage and self storage in the Mercado Dell Rio property. Now a gentleman, would like to put food trucks in that area. So I'm going to provide you with some of the audio so that you can understand what is being proposed.

The town is faceing a crossroads on what to build on the remaining commercial lots we have. It could all come down to increased taxes for Oro Valley residents.

I wanted to keep this short, more will come about the 23/24 Oro Valley budget. A short listen.

I see the most interesting thing or item on the town council agenda of April 19 will be the possible expansion of the School resource officer program. I address the two important issues that I feel were the most relevant during this rather mundane Council meeting. School resource officers and steam pump ranch came up during the meeting. The school resource officer item was put on for the next agenda. Steam pump ranch needs a definition as to what of facility it will be in the future. This is about a five minute listen.

During the March 15 Town council meeting the subject of the sun city lights on Rancho Vistoso became an interesting topic. One sector needs to be replaced. Mayor Winfield suggested that possibly they should be eliminated it entirely. Listen to the podcast and you'll hear the back-and-forth between the mayor and Paul Keesler.

Don Cox and Mike Zinkin discuss the ramifications of not having enough revenue sources to fund future infrastructure projects. Revenue sources would include either future bonding [we currently have $42 million in outstanding loans, largest ever] or increases in sales tax or a property tax.
