In this episode, I got to talk with Dr. Jared Compton. Dr. Compton has been on this podcast before and is one of my favorite theologians. Jared graduated from Detroit Baptist Theological Seminary with his M.Div and from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School with his Ph.D. He has written and co-written three books, Biblical Theology according to the Apostles: How the Earliest Christians Told Israel’s Story, Three Views on Israel and the Church in Romans 9–11, and Psalm 110 and the Logic of Hebrews. Dr. Compton has also written for many publications including Desiring God and The Gospel Coalition.
We discussed how to read the Bible the way the Bible reads the Bible, that is, how to do proper Biblical theology. We also talked about Romans 9-11 and how modern Christians should interpret Pauls writings in these chapters. We finally discussed how Christians can use their understanding of Romans 9-11 to build a political philosophy related to the current war in Israel.
Today marks one year since Israel was brutally attacked by the terrorist group, Hamas. We encourage all who listen to this podcast to pray that God would bring peace and justice to the Middle East.

He is currently the Associate Professor of Theological Studies at Gulf Theological Seminary in the United Arab Emirates. Dr. Parkison and I discussed the lost beatific doctrine. We talked about what it is, where it can be seen in Scripture, and how the doctrine has developed through church history. We also discussed the transfiguration of Christ and the theological implications of that event. Finally, we talked about the glory and substance found in the glorified Christian in Heaven. I hope you enjoy!

George’s political theory and how it relates to cobelligerency. We talk about Protestants partnering with Catholics in pursuit of a political common good, Billy Graham and his impact on Christian unity and fellowship, and how one can come to practical political partnerships without forsaking their orthodox Christian conviction.

In this episode, I got to talk with Dr. Scott Jensen. Dr. Jensen ran to be the Governor of Minnesota in 2022 against the current Governor, Tim Walz. Tim Walz was recently chosen by Kamala Harris to be her running mate in the 2024 Presidential race. Scott Jensen knows a lot about Tim Walz and his rhetoric, record, and failures in the political realm. Scott and I talked about who Tim Walz is, and how Americans need to sift through the lying and manipulation in politics to truly figure out who our politicians are. We also discussed an essay on evil and stupidity by Dietrich Bonhoeffer and how that essay related directly to this election. I hope you enjoy.

In this episode, I got to talk with Megan Basham. Megan is a culture reporter at the Daily Wire and has written for many publications including First Things, National Review, WORLD Magazine, The Telegraph, and The Wall Street Journal. She recently wrote a book called Shepherds for Sale: How Evangelical Leaders Traded the Truth for a Leftist Agenda.
Megan and I discussed how “climate change” rhetoric and advocacy made its way into the American Evangelical church in the 1990s and how that started a widespread spiral toward a more liberal theology in the church. We also discussed her controversy with Christian apologist Gavin Ortlund. Megan talks about Timothy Keller and other prominent Christians in America and their equivocating theology that has become the mainstream theological approach for many young Christians. We finally discussed Megans own testimony and the proper Christian response to pastors and shepherds who are for sale: the true testimony of Jesus Christ.
This is one of the most important books of the year, I hope you like this episode and buy a copy!
