Otakus Only

Street Fighter might actually be cooking.

On this episode of Otakus Only, I'm breaking down my thoughts on the new Street Fighter trailer and whether this live-action adaptation finally looks like it understands what fans want.

Then I'm talking about Buddy, one of the weirder horror movies I've watched recently, before getting into a bigger conversation I've been thinking about: what's going on with horror right now?

Are we in one of the best eras for horror movies? Has the genre become more creative than mainstream blockbusters? And what kinds of horror movies are actually working right now?

In this episode: • My reaction to the new Street Fighter trailer • Does Street Fighter actually look good? • Buddy movie review • The current state of horror movies • Why horror continues to be one of the most interesting genres right now

If you're into anime, movies, horror, gaming and everything else we're obsessed with, welcome to Otakus Only.

What do you think: are horror movies getting better right now — and are you sold on Street Fighter?
