OTBP :: The Show

Another great mix from LBS... Here's what he said: There never was a Vol. 2 but just like "History Of The World" there was no need for one. Mixed in September 2001, don't have a playlist either so I tried to remember as much as I could. One of my all time favs on here, USG (Ron Trent) "Have I Lost You", which reminds me of just being on the dancefloor by yourself lost in a world of emotions. 2001 wasn't too shabby of a year for house music, most of these tracks were released then... load.play.repeat. This is one of LBS' mixes from years ago... 2001 to be exact.  Here's what LBS had to say about it: .... "Outdoor Sex", the name sums it up. I made this mix in July 2001 and I have no idea what I was trippin' off of but it musta been good to come up with a name like this. This was when Jon Cutler's "It's Yours" first came out and before it saturated the global Starbucks and Ibiza playlists, I gotta admit, it's still a damn good song if you can stomach more than 2 minutes of it. Some of my favorite tracks are included on this mix as well like the deep bouncy number by CRS (great audio sample) and the Tears Of Velva house classic that seriously makes me wanna dance every time I hear it. Take a listen and hopefully the title will inspire something... Outdoor Sex - July 2001 [download - right-click (PC) or CTRL-click (Mac) > 'Save As'] [subscribe in iTunes] 01. Here's a recent mix by the somewhat enigmatic Osunlade.  I'd have to say that it's about as deep as the Atlantic Rift!  I'm not familiar with a few of the artists on the mix but all the better...now I, along with you, am expanding my musical horizons!  Overall, this mix is definitely more on the cerebral tip and would be an ace for good road trip. Recently I've been listening to the Compost Blacklabel Sessions shows.  I thought I'd bring you one of their shows.  Here's some info about the show that I grabbed from their website: Following the successful launch of the in demand monthly club event COMPOST BLACKLABEL SESSIONS in Munich's legendary HARRY KLEIN earlier this year, it was just a matter of time; moving one step further to sharing the vibe of this club night with you every week! Whether you listen to it on the beautiful island of Ibiza or elsewhere via livestream, you’ll definitely enjoy it. Hosted by two of Munich’s Housemusic aficionados and DJs SHOW-B & THOMAS HERB “both part of the COMPOST family“ you can listen to a unique blend of their favourite tunes, secret weapons and a bunch of tasty soon-to-be released gems. Of course these guys are going to feature some guest mixes from like-minded artists from time to time. So, spread the word and enjoy!!! King Britt is definitely one of the more talented artist/djs out there.  His immense skills range across many genres.  This mix is something he recently posted on his website that he put together for Fader Magazine back in 2005.  It's definitely worth a listen.
