Jack Lovett-Hurst started at Radio Southland with his show Jack's Knowledge Of Sport, where he recapped the week's sports news and shared his fav teams! Jack was then given the opportunity to work for Nga Kete Matauranga Pounamu Charitable Trust, his show focus changed to disability inclusion and employment. 'SOAR' (Securing Our Aspirational Realities), a programme offered through NKMPT, aims to grow whanau and community awareness and knowledge about service options, how to get needs met, and how to live full, enriched lives. On the radio show, he and his new co-host William, interview people in the community with disabilities, their whanau, and service providers about their stories, how they are reaching their dreams, and what needs services can assist with. Jack lives with muscular dystrophy but is an active figure in the Southland disabled sports scene, a gym fixture, handcyclist, and New York Marathon competitor. SOAR airs on Wednesdays at 12.10pm - replaying Fridays at 1.45pm
