"In an effort to promote the trades to a large audience on a national level, the National Tile Contractors Association has committed to joining the Generation T (Trades) program, developed and implemented by Lowes Home Improvement. NTCA is joining with over 60 other brand partners to work to change the perception of the skilled trades, and make young people aware of the opportunities that exist in the construction field and the tile industry. NTCA Members can have access to create their own online portal on Generation T, helping them to connect with candidates in their geographic market with a growing network of training providers and employers. NTCA hopes to support Generation T efforts to speak with school counselors and curriculum developers to add tile and flooring training into shop classes and courses into schools, and join national efforts to promote the skilled trades at career fairs and more. "
