Yesterday went 0-2 in NHL. Philly lost 4-1, Montreal beat Ottawa in a close one. But NBA underdog wins saved the night. That's the nature of the game.
Today we've got 13 NHL power plays. Filter out heavy favorites and we're down to three diamond picks: Anaheim, Florida Panthers, and Dallas Stars. That bracket sits at 57% win rate across 94 games with much better odds than the raw 60% power plays.
The underdog value edge is 28-17. Panthers are tonight's play. Jackets sit at 51% to win, making Florida the technical underdog.
On NBA, I've rolled out Nexus-3 as the main model. It weights our best-performing model more heavily. The difference is 63% vs 67% over nearly 200 games. First half was great, second half has been rough, but the data shows the path forward.
