Whether it's pornography, transgenderism, same sex marriages, or even pedophilia...why does it matter what we do when it comes to sex?

And does anyone have the right to decide what is sexually moral?

Most people are aware that there are some 'rules' in the Bible about certain types of sexual behaviour.

But very few understand that our Creator set specific boundaries regarding sex to protect all human beings, and why they are so vital to keep, especially in today's highly sexualized culture.

Philosopher and theologian Kirk Durston joins me today to share his thoughts on Faith and Sexuality in Our Culture...which he says is one of the primary challenges facing us today.

Throughout history, when people didn't follow the sexual boundaries that God set for us, their societies collapsed. And Kirk says we are dangerously close to the same thing happening to us.

Welcome to our Creator Calls…where we seek truth together. 

As I’ve mentioned several times on this podcast, there are dark spiritual forces that we cannot see whose reason for being is to prevent us from knowing our Creator. 

One of the main ways they do that is through deception….which is causing someone to accept as true what is actually a lie.

For instance, you may be surprised to learn that yoga is not “just exercise” and a healthy way to relieve stress or improve flexibility as many people think.

My guest this week, Dr. Laurette Willis practiced Hatha yoga for 22 years beginning when she was only seven.

She finally stopped doing yoga when she was 29 after giving her life to Jesus Christ, and soon after in 2001, she founded Praise Moves, a Christian alternative to yoga....which has helped thousands of people worldwide become “Fit Witnesses for Christ in spirit, soul, and body.”

A couple weeks ago, I joined an online prayer meeting for the 2023 provincial election in Alberta, Canada. We ended up praying for six hours, which was three times longer than planned.

Towards the end of the call, a woman named Stacey Jensen prayed passionately for God to move by the power of His Holy Spirit to reach people who don't Jesus yet.

Child sex trafficking in the USA generates at least $50 billion dollars every year. That's more annual revenue than all professional sports combined. The sale and exploitation of children is the second largest criminal enterprise on earth—and it's growing at a faster rate than drugs and arms.

Have you noticed how many professing Christians are leaving their faith?

You may have seen a social media post by a well-known Christian announcing their deconversion...and for each celebrity who makes that move, hundreds of other believers we don't hear about are also leaving Christianity.

According to a report in 2018 by the Pinetops Foundation, in the US alone between 30 and 42 million young people raised in Christian families who call themselves Christians are expected to leave the faith by 2050.

This got me wondering...why is this happening? After 27 years of walking with Jesus I can't imagine leaving my faith. 

In search for answers, I contacted Kirk Durston who has written and spoken extensively about deconversion. Kirk is a scientist, philosopher, theologian, father, husband, and wilderness adventurer.
