Today we are joined by Scott Akoz, a photographer, videographer and Darlington enthusiast. Originally from York, Scott's journey into photography started it 1998. By 2005 he was a full time pro. He moved to Darlington in 2006 as a bicycle courier for Green Link commuting from York before making the town his home in 2007. Scott seen Darlington evolve whether it's the high street, the growing caffe culture or the town's green spaces.

With over 25 years of experience in top kitchens and a celebrated appearance on BBC Master Chef the professionals, chef Matei has built a reputation for crafting unforgettable dining experiences. Here in Darlington chef Matei is making waves with not just one but 3 exciting ventures.

Today we are interviewing the one and only, James Carver. He is an entrepreneur, family man and someone who is always pushing the limits, with 3 successful businesses in County Durham and North Yorkshire along with his brother Henry and father Gordon.

Beyond his professional success, James is a proud father of three, a devoted husband to his wife Helen, and a true adventurer at heart. He’s completed a 100-mile ultra marathon, climbed Mount Kilimanjaro, and served as captain of his rugby team.

Today we had Darlington event coordinator Alex Nicholson on the podcast telling us about silent disco's, the 200th Anniversary of the Stockton- Darlington Railway exchange, and her favourite Darlington restaurant!

Today we are honoured to welcome Shaun Campbell, the inspiring founder of the Arthur Wharton foundation based right here in Darlington. Shaun has dedicated years to preserving and sharing the story of Arthur Wharton who is the world's first black professional footballer, a record breaking athlete and true pioneer in multi-sports.

We are thrilled to have Darrien Wright with us today, a professional dancer and the visionary behind the up-coming charity event 'Strictly Step By Step'. After shooting the fame in 2006 by winning TV 'Strictly Dance Fever' Darrien is bringing his expertise back to the stage on November 9th at the Dolphin Centre in Darlington. This exciting event will feature local male contestants paired with professional dancers all coming together to raise funds for 5 charities with a goal of £10,000. In addition to his dance career Darrien performed in musicals at Darlington Hippodrome and even shared the stage with Kylie Minogue.
