Double the fun with a double episode! We talk glitches, depression, boy bands, and what it means to show up for the people you love.
This episode is so full of ships, it might as well be a yacht club!
It's Zoey's 30th birthday party, and everyone around her is in love. When she wishes someone would sing to her, she gets a little more than she bargained for from a certain Aussie gent. A fight with Max puts Zoey in a sour mood, but when the dust settles, it's Simon she has her eye on.
This episode was mixed and edited by Lanier Sammons.
Zoey's is back, and so are we! This week, we talk about the perils of trying to recreate a cherished memory, learning to move through your grief in healthy ways, and the beauty of episodes about friendship. Plus, Leif can sing!
SPRQ Point experiences a reckoning following Simon's revelations at the press conference. Zoey experiences one in her personal life as well as she comes face to face with her blindspots. Meanwhile, Tobin overcomes his fear of making waves and steps up to support his colleagues. We talk about it all in this very belated episode.
Zoey rebels the only way an Earth sign can, and we're here for it. What we're not here for is the way she treats her friends. Plus, Max's dad seems...nice? And Simon speaks truth to power about racism in the workplace (with some help from Mo, Tatiana, and Nina Simone).
Zoey tries to "choose happiness" (with a side of Marcy Playground), George gets fired, Mo and Max are on the rocks, and David calls it quits. We fill in the gaps of this filler episode with the help of our friend Torie Hoffman.
Zoey's bad dreams lead to a break with Max, Jenna helps Maggie get back to work, Clara sheds some light on the history behind "Nowhere to Run" (with some slight inaccuracies -- see correction below), and Dani gushes over Skylar Astin.
Quick correction for this episode: "Nowhere to Run" was written by Holland Dozier Holland, not a member of Martha and the Vandellas. He threw a party for the soldier Clara mentions in the episode, who was a friend of a friend.
Zoey's on a grief vacation this week, and we're here to DISH. Join us to talk all things Jenna, Mo's Sam Smith freakout, Zomax interruptus, and Leif's bad, bad management mistake.
Zoey's Playlist is back, and we have THOUGHTS -- about Zoey's return, the newest engineer at SPRQ, Mitch's testimonials, and (of course) ZOMAX!
In this podcast trailer, Clara and Dani provide a quick breakdown of the podcast and what we're about, plus our top moments of season 1 and our hopes for season 2.
