  • 2.24 Statism is a Religion

    To wrap up the Reformation/ modern day parallels, I'm focusing on the similarities between the statism of today, with the U.S. as the example, and religion historically, with Christianity as the example. Statism isn't just like a religion or have a few commonalities. Statism is a religion and should be viewed as such to better understand the world of politics today.

  • 2.23 Banking, War, and the Technate

    Whether one looks at the historical period of the Middle Ages through the Reformation or our modern era through the potential Digital Reformation into technocracy, banking, war, and technology play a huge role. Much of the backdrop and enabling factors are economic in nature and are spurred by new technologies in money and finance as well as new economic models and practices. There are also those who chose to live their own way, apart from the system, whether that be religious or political, and secure for themselves, their families, and their local communities a haven from the ruling institutions vying for power. Ruling institutional structures are the problem. Agorism is the answer.

  • 2.20 The Influence of Technology

    The printing press and the internet revolutionized and influenced many aspects of society. Many things didn't happen until the technology evolved to a certain point. They broke the information model from a centralized hub and spoke model to a decentralized and autonomous system. Censorship was an issue, both as an impossibility and as a tool as the alternative movements that took off with the technology gained steam then were largely co-opted for other ends.

    From the Black Death to the feudal system to the rise of the merchant class, changing times meant changing roles and changing answers. Education and secular knowledge became more sought through these shifts. Cracks in the system were visible then as they have been in modern history.
