Daniel and Kim welcome guest Kyla Warren as they discuss the overarching themes of female-led horror films. From Carrie and The Craft to Raw and The Babadook, they discuss why female directors/writers telling female stories matter, and why these stories are sometimes flawed when they are told by a man. Additionally, they analyze how the horror genre has grown over time and how female characters are being portrayed now. 

Daniel and Kim welcome aspiring director/writer Katie Romanovich to talk all about Hollywood and it's obsession with making films about... Hollywood. From David Lynch's Mulholland Drive to Damien Chazelle's La La Land, and even Sofia Copolla's Somewhere, they explore just how unique each individual's vision of Los Angeles is, and what these films all have in common (other than the setting).

In the Season 2 premiere of Our Hollywood, Daniel and Kim are joined by Garrett James Wyatt to discuss the good and bad of the Young Adult genre, especially the specific sub-genres. From the fantasy romance of Twilight, to the dystopian future of The Hunger Games, and even the blackmail-and-fashion-ridden world of Gossip Girl, the trio discuss what they liked and disliked from these adaptations, and why telling these stories is important. 

Season Finale: To wrap up their first season, Daniel and Kim take a look back at 2020: how they grew personally, how they grew professionally, and what their goals are for Our Hollywood. Then, they discuss key moments of 2020's pop culture, such as Tiger King, Schitt's Creek, Zendaya's Emmy win, and so much more. 

This week, Daniel and Kim take a look at the history of Disney Princesses through the years with guest Balie Mara. From Snow White to Moana, they discuss how the motivations and personality traits of the princesses have evolved throughout the years, and the cultural impact that they had on the generation (while getting sidetracked a couple times).

This week, Daniel and Kim are joined by Savannah Herms, host of the YouTube series Hidden Hollywood, to discuss some of Old Hollywood's most important figures. From legendary actresses like Anna May Wong and Rita Hayworth, to LGBTQ+ actors like Anthony Perkins, they discuss just how important these people were, and why it is important to keep their memories and stories alive to this day, as well as remembering what they did for the film industry as a whole.

Daniel and Kim are joined by Rachel Sullivan to explore the difficult subject of portraying serial killers in film and tv, and why people today will romanticize these characters, who are often times based on real-life serial killers. With biopic films like My Friend Dahmer and Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile, to fictional portrayals of murderers in American Horror Story and You, they discuss the potential problems that these films have. 

This week, Daniel and Kim are joined by Chloe to talk about the often under-appreciated art of costume design. From films like Clueless to The Fifth Element, they discuss how the costume design of these films is important to the overall experience of the film, and the cultural impact that costume design often leaves on a generation. 

Daniel and Kim take a look at Lindsay Lohan's rise (and fall), and the movies she made along the way, from Parent Trap to Herbie Fully Loaded. They also discuss how these films have aged, as well as the lasting fanbase of films like Mean Girls and Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen. It's time for Lindsay Lohan to make her comeback.
