Off-handedly, many of us who've been married for more than a decade might use the word "patient" to describe our spouses. That's accurate but doesn't quite capture the reality of living with one of the two FC2.0 Davids as well as does this descriptor: LONGSUFFERING. At one time it must have been a widely circulated adjective since the King James Version of the Bible lists it as the fourth fruit of the Spirit in Galatians 5:22. But try typing it in today; you'll likely get autocorrected by the spelling bot that patrols your computer's innards. What loyal listeners could not know is that after giggling through memories of marriage before cell phones, we lingered when the recording stopped to let the gratitude for our two longsuffering wives bubble up. We're still in love, and the stories are good… ALL of them!
