Dr. Emily Gottenborg is an Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Colorado within the Hospital Medicine Group. She earned her undergraduate degree in chemistry from Williams College, completed medical school at Boston University School of Medicine, and residency and chief residency at the University of California, San Francisco. She served as Chief Resident of Quality Improvement and Patient Safety, where she developed an interest in developing curricula around QI, Patient Safety, and Value in Healthcare. She joined the Hospital Medicine Group at University of Colorado in 2014. Her interests include curriculum development, and leadership in healthcare with a focus on medical student and resident education and development. Today she discusses strategies for engaging those on the front lines of healthcare in affecting systematic change.
