In this episode Halina Rozensztrauch explores somatic sensing, what some might call claircogniscience, or clear knowing.
Somatics is a field of study and practice in the overlapping realms of bodywork, movement, and psychotherapy. It deepens your body awareness though various movement, breath and attentional explorations and invites you to follow your internal experience, "the body as perceived from within".
In ‘soma-psychology’, terms such as ‘soma’ or ‘somatic’ do not refer to the physical body, but to your own inwardly felt body, in particular your felt bodily sense how you are or the issue or theme that calls for your attention.
It is through our body that we exist here and we sense ourselves and the world around us.
Through our body, we experience what expansion and growth are and through the same body, we experience limits and finiteness.
It is through our lived body that we sense what deeply matters, we experience connection and glimpses of wholeness.
Embodiment is not just listening to the body - it's listening through the body. It's an invitation to dwell and feel at home not just in the mind - space of our heads but in the inner ‘soul space’ of our bodies.
